To lessen our impact on the environment, our garden centre has made it a personal goal to be as enviromentally friendly as possible.
We don’t want to be a contributing factor, that causes future generations to suffer. As it’s down to us to make a change.
Renewable Energy
Our use of renewable energy to help heat our garden centre during the cold periods of the year, helps us be more energy-efficient and reduces our garden centre's overall carbon footprint.
Peat Free Compost
Extraction of peat creates a devastating impact on our environment. The peatlands provide valuable ecosystems for a vast amount of wildlife.
To help this, we are now able to offer a variety of peat free compost, allowing you to lessen your impact on our environment
Low Travel Emissons
At least 95% of the plants we sell are UK grown. Many of our plants are grown at our nursery, or come from very close to home, significantly limiting plant miles!
Chemical Free Plants
We use no chemicals in our garden centre, and this is done by keeping our plants strong and healthy by giving them optimum levels of food and water, which builds up a very high level of natural defences against pests and diseases.
We also use natural methods like controlling air circulation and nematodes to encourage plant health.
